Website Story Ads (online)

We offer advertising on our website in the form of ‘Story Ads,” which appear as a photo with short story. Viewers will click on photo/story which links to a full-page story that includes up to 100 words, 1 photo, logo, phone numbers and a live link to your website.

These “ads” appear as part of our website information, opposed to banner ads which just look like an advertisement. You can put your hotel on the “Where to sleep” page or attraction on the “Attractions” page. These are sold to SSDTA members only so they are all regional ads. They do not rotate off the page so they are seen by every viewer. Your page can be easily tracked for visits so you can tell if it is valuable marketing.

Virtual Travel Show (online)

We will place your travel guide or brochure on our website in pdf format that is available to the visitor to view and print online. Contact us today to add your guide or brochure to the Virtual Travel Show.

Interactive Map / Trip Planner Listing (online)

The Interactive Map/Trip Planner on our website allows visitors to select a city to find points of interest and services available in that community. They are then able to choose the events, attractions, lodging, etc. that they want and compile them into a trip plan.

Web Vacation Packages - FREE

Put together a package that includes an overnight stay along with an attraction or event and maybe meals or additional activities. It must have one price, one contact phone number and a date range that the package is valid. Give your package a name like "Weekend Get-Away." We will place it on our website free. Be prepared to adjust the package to fit what the caller is looking for. They may want to add another person or stay an extra night. Contact us today to put your Vacation Package on our website.

Tour Operator / Travel Writer Mailings (print)

We send out a large mailing each year to Tour Operators and Travel Writers nation-wide. These packets include our regional publications as well as itineraries from regional communities. All member communities are encouraged to provide us with an itinerary of activities that will assist these tour operators and travel writers to best take advantage of what your community has to offer.

This opportunity is for communities only. Send us 450 copies of your itinerary on an 8 1/2"x11" sheet of paper (front & back) by January 15th. No folded brochures or rack cards, please.
