Forever Forest

May 1 - September 19
Washington Pavilion, Sioux Falls
605-367-6000
www.washingtonpavilion.org/attractions/science/current-exhibits/forever-forest

Climb a tree, build a home and more while exploring the forest’s connection with our world.
The 2,000-square-foot Forever Forest exhibition is designed to teach children and adults how their everyday lives are connected to forests, through the ways they live, work and play.

Here are just a few activities in Forever Forest:

  • Travel through a forest and interact with creatures by climbing, crawling and sliding through logs and tree limbs.
  • Experience a kid-size replica of a Union Pacific engine and railcar to show how products move across the country.
  • Harvest trees using mini grapple skidders and a pretend saw mill.
  • Build a miniature home under construction in which children can help finish by adding siding, molding and other details.

This exhibition is recommended for children up to age 8 and their families.
