Business Manager – Bookkeeper / HR Administrator

the community in order to increase overall economic benefit to the city.
Full Job Description
The Business Manager will report to the Executive Director and be responsible for
human resources administration, office day-to-day management activities and financial
records maintenance, including working closely with our offsite accounting team. The
Business Manager is a salaried, full-time, and in-office position.
Responsibilities include:
Human Resources
• Employee Relations and development/maintenance of organization policies and
procedures; including Employee Handbook implementation
• New hire orientation, on-boarding, and staff file maintenance
• Employee benefit management; including staff education, open enrollment
coordination, and PTO tracking and policy development
Day-to-Day activities
• Payroll administration and processing; previous experience with ADP preferred

• Excellent communication, both verbal & written, computer, organizational, multi-
tasking and problem-solving skills

• Computer proficiency, including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Utilize consistent account coding strategies
• Pay vendors in timely, efficient manner, including responding to vendor inquiries
• Manage vendor ACH and auto payments
• Coordinate with accounting firm employed by Experience Sioux Falls
• Ensure ESF budgets, financial reports and accounting procedures are produced
accurately within timelines and in partnership with contracted accounting firm

Preferred Qualifications / Required Skills
• 3-5 years hands-on bookkeeping and payroll experience or any equivalent
combination of training and/or experience
• Previous experience with ADP preferred
• 3-5 years human resources experience in South Dakota
